Outdoor Flea Extermination
Outdoor control of flea infestations can be one of the most troubling and difficult situations for a pest control company. Natural forces such as weather cause flea control products to degrade and lose their residual in a very short time span, allowing pre-emergent adult fleas to restart the flea infestation weeks later.
Outdoor control of fleas in the yard can be accomplished through either natural flea control means, or through the use of traditional insecticides. The two methods used to kill fleas can even be used in conjunction with one another, as beneficial nematoes are not susceptible to many insecticides. The value of mixing the two methods would be that insecticides generally will generally kill a flea faster than a nematode, but will lost effectiveness after a much shorter time period. Nematodes are capable of surviving in the soil for longer periods of time, and will therefore provide longer protection against secondary reinfestations by the latter stages of the flea life cycle. Very severe flea infestations might warrant the use of both methods simultaneously to achieve quicker control, though most people interested in natural flea control will prefer not to use traditional flea killer.
Fleabusters Pestex offers both methods both simultaneously and independently. Nematode treatments might not be available at certain times of the year, depending upon variables such as availability and weather. Speak with your Fleabusters Pestex representative about which flea removal method will be most suitable for your yard.
